Mother's Day Craft: White Carnations

Posted on: Friday, May 9, 2014

Mother's Day is coming up this Sunday! Have you got the perfect gift yet?

Did you know that Mother's Day was started by Anna Jarvis who thought of the idea that mothers all over the world should have a special day, just for them!
First Mother's Day in America was celebrated in 1908. Anna gave her mother's favorite flower white carnations to all the mothers who attended church that morning. It became the thing to do, and white carnations are still worn in honor of mothers on Mother's Day.

We all know that a gift you make yourself is so much more special. Check out how to make white carnations from paper and some painter's tape.
